This Penngrove project centered around refreshing a backyard dominated by an oversized lawn and an aging pool area. The clients wanted a more functional space, including a secluded spot for a new hot tub and amenities that would make the yard feel inviting rather than underused.

The redesigned layout introduced a horseshoe court framed with heavy‑timber construction and seamlessly integrated into a landscape of low‑water, low‑maintenance plantings. To create privacy around the spa, we installed custom redwood lattice panels that also help screen the existing pool equipment.

What emerged is a far more usable and engaging backyard—an everyday oasis that encourages relaxation, gathering, and play.
